Greg Gonzalez

Greg Gonzalez is a US guitarist and singer from Texas known for his atmospheric indie project Cigarettes After Sex. He formed the band in 2008 in El Paso, blending slowcore, dream pop and ambient textures with hushed vocals and reverb-heavy guitars. The project gained international attention with the 2012 single “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby,” followed by the self-titled debut album in 2017 on Partisan Records. Subsequent releases include Cry (2019) and the 2023 EP “Motion Picture Soundtrack,” with Gonzalez writing, recording and producing most material himself. The music has been widely licensed for film and television, and the band has toured extensively across North America, Europe and Asia.
