About
The Marías are a Los Angeles-based indie pop band formed in 2016 by Puerto Rican singer María Zardoya and multi-instrumentalist Josh Conway. The group blends dream pop, bossa nova, psychedelia and R&B into a lush, cinematic sound. Their 2017 self-titled EP and 2018 debut album Superclean Vol. I & II established a cult following, followed by the 2021 full-length Cinema. The band has collaborated with artists including Cuco and toured with artists such as Kali Uchis. Their music is characterized by Zardoya’s bilingual vocals and atmospheric production.
