Riccardo Frizza (born 14 December 1971) is an Italian conductor specializing in opera. Born in Brescia, he studied at the Milan Conservatory and began his career assisting leading conductors at La Scala and other major Italian houses. He has served as music director of the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, and has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and San Francisco Opera. His repertoire centers on the Italian bel canto and verismo traditions, with notable recordings of works by Donizetti, Bellini, and Verdi.
