Bio
Eberhard Finke is a German cellist born in 1920. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and became a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1949, where he served as principal cellist for many years. Finke performed as a soloist with major orchestras and appeared in numerous recordings, including works by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms. He also taught cello at the Berlin Hochschule für Musik and influenced a generation of German cellists. His career spanned over four decades with the Berlin Philharmonic until his retirement.
