Bio
Xavier de Maistre is a French harpist born in Toulon in 1973. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, where he later became a professor. De Maistre has performed as a soloist with major orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, and Orchestre National de France, and has appeared at festivals such as Salzburg and Lucerne. His repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary works, and he is known for his transcriptions of works originally written for other instruments.
