Bio
Francesco Piemontesi is a Swiss classical pianist born in Locarno in 1983. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Hannover with Arie Vardi and later with Alfred Brendel. He won first prize at the 2009 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and has performed with major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, and New York Philharmonic. His repertoire spans from Bach and Mozart to contemporary works, with acclaimed recordings on labels such as Naïve and Pentatone. He is noted for his refined touch and thoughtful interpretations of the Classical and Romantic repertoire.
