Bio
Michael Sanderling is a German conductor and cellist born in Berlin in 1967. He studied cello at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and began his professional career as a cellist with the Staatskapelle Dresden. He later transitioned to conducting, serving as principal conductor of the Dresden Philharmonic from 2011 to 2019 and holding positions with the Kammerakademie Potsdam and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern.
