Grand Corps Malade, born Fabien Marsaud on 31 July 1977 in Le Blanc-Mesnil, France, is a French slam poet and singer-songwriter. After a diving accident left him paraplegic at age 19, he turned to writing and performing spoken-word poetry, adopting the stage name Grand Corps Malade ("Big Sick Body"). His work blends slam poetry with chanson and pop elements, often addressing social themes and personal experiences. He gained recognition with his 2006 debut album "Midi 20," which achieved commercial success in France. Subsequent releases such as "Enfant de la ville" (2008) and "3ème Temps" (2010) further established his reputation. Grand Corps Malade is known for his distinctive deep voice and narrative style, and he has collaborated with various French artists across multiple genres.
