Bio
Leftfield is a British electronic music project formed in London in 1989 by Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. The duo became known for their pioneering work in the big beat and trip hop scenes, blending dub, house, and downtempo elements into a distinctive sound. Their debut album Leftism (1995) is widely regarded as a landmark release in electronic music, featuring collaborations with artists such as John Lydon and Toni Halliday. The follow-up Rhythm and Stealth (1999) continued their success, reaching the UK top 10 and earning critical acclaim for its innovative production. After a long hiatus, Leftfield returned with Alternative Light Source in 2015, reaffirming their influence on the electronic music landscape.
