Bio
Le Concert Spirituel is a French early-music ensemble founded in 1987 and dedicated to the performance of Baroque and Renaissance repertoire. Under the direction of Hervé Niquet, the group presents choral, orchestral, and operatic works from the 17th and 18th centuries, often using period instruments and historically informed practices. Their programs frequently explore French grand motets, Gregorian chant, and lesser-known scores from the court of Versailles, bringing renewed attention to the rich musical heritage of the Ancien Régime.
