Bio
Tommaso Giordani (1730–1806) was an Italian composer active in the late Baroque and early Classical periods. Born in Naples, he spent much of his career in London and Dublin, where he composed operas, oratorios, and instrumental music for the English and Irish stages. His output includes numerous keyboard sonatas, string quartets, and vocal works. Giordani is best remembered for the song "Caro mio ben," long attributed to him though its authorship remains debated among scholars.
