Yanni (born Yiannis Chryssomallis, 14 November 1954) is a Greek pianist, keyboardist and composer whose instrumental music blends classical, jazz and world-music influences. He first gained international attention in the late 1980s with a series of self-produced albums that showcased his signature melodic style and elaborate live productions. Yanni’s large-scale concerts at historic sites such as the Acropolis and the Taj Mahal helped popularize the new-age genre worldwide, and his recordings have sold tens of millions of copies across more than 60 countries.
