Bio
Georges Delerue (1925–1992) was a French composer best known for his extensive work in film music. Born in Roubaix, he studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and went on to score more than 350 films, collaborating with directors such as François Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, and Bernardo Bertolucci. His style blended lyrical melodies with modern orchestration, earning him international recognition and multiple awards, including an Academy Award for Best Original Score for "A Little Sex" (1982). Delerue’s contributions helped define the sound of French New Wave cinema and remain influential in both film and concert music.
