Bio
Candida Thompson is a Dutch violinist based in the Netherlands. She is the artistic director and leader of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, a chamber orchestra known for its dynamic and innovative programming. Thompson has performed as a soloist with major orchestras and collaborated with conductors and ensembles across Europe. Her repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary works, and she is noted for her expressive playing and commitment to new music. She studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and has recorded for labels including Channel Classics.
