Bio
Vladimir Cosma is a French-Romanian composer, conductor and violinist born in Bucharest in 1940. He studied at the Bucharest Conservatory before moving to Paris, where he trained under Nadia Boulanger and Olivier Messiaen at the Paris Conservatory. Cosma is best known for his extensive film and television scores, having composed music for more than 300 productions since the 1960s. His work spans French cinema classics and popular television series, establishing him as one of France's most prolific screen composers. Beyond film music, Cosma has written concert works including concertos, symphonic pieces, and chamber music that have been performed by major orchestras worldwide.
