Bio

Shinehead (born Edmund Carl Aiken, 10 April 1962) is a British-Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist who rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Blending lovers rock, ragga, and new jack swing, he is known for his distinctive toasting style and socially conscious lyrics. His breakthrough came with the 1988 album "Unity," which featured the hit single "Who the Cap Fit." Shinehead gained further recognition for his reggae-infused covers of pop and hip-hop tracks, including "Stranger in Town" and "Billie Jean." Throughout his career, he has remained active in the reggae scene, releasing music that bridges traditional Jamaican sounds with contemporary urban styles.
