Bio
The Coro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino is the resident chorus of Florence’s Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, founded in 1933 alongside the festival itself. It performs the choral repertoire of the company’s opera and concert seasons, ranging from Baroque oratorios to contemporary works, and regularly collaborates with leading conductors and orchestras. The ensemble also appears on numerous commercial recordings of operas and choral pieces produced by the Maggio Musicale.
