Bio

Republica is a British alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Windsor, England. The group gained recognition in the mid-1990s with their energetic blend of rock and electronic elements, most notably through their hit single "Ready to Go." Their self-titled debut album, released in 1996, showcased a sound that aligned with the Britpop movement while incorporating danceable beats and punk influences. Fronted by vocalist Saffron, the band released a second album, "Speed Ballads," in 1998 before going on hiatus. Republica later reunited for live performances and new material, maintaining a presence in the UK music scene with their distinctive style and enduring cult following.
