Bio
Eduardo di Capua (1865–1917) was an Italian composer and songwriter born in Naples. He is best known for writing the music to the Neapolitan song “’O sole mio,” which became one of the most famous Italian songs worldwide. Di Capua worked primarily within the canzone napoletana tradition, composing numerous popular songs that helped define the genre in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
