Bio
Howard Shelley is a British pianist and conductor known for his performances and recordings of Romantic repertoire. He studied at the Royal College of Music and gained recognition for his interpretations of Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Liszt. Shelley has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia. He has also conducted ensembles such as the London Mozart Players and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. His extensive discography includes complete concerto cycles for Hyperion Records. Shelley is noted for his dual role as both pianist and conductor, often leading from the keyboard.
