Lzzy Hale is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist best known as the frontwoman of the hard-rock band Halestorm. Born Elizabeth Mae Hale on October 10, 1983, in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, she began performing with her brother Arejay while still in high school and has remained the band’s lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its formation. Hale is recognized for her powerful vocal range and energetic stage presence, and she has contributed to every Halestorm release, from the band’s self-titled 2009 debut through later albums such as The Strange Case Of… and Vicious. In addition to her work with Halestorm, she has appeared as a guest vocalist on recordings by artists including Slash, Shinedown, and Black Stone Cherry.
