Bio
Michel Corboz (1934–2021) was a Swiss conductor and composer renowned for his interpretations of Baroque and Classical choral repertoire. Born in Marsens, Switzerland, he founded the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne in 1962, which became one of the leading European chamber choirs under his direction. His recordings of works by Bach, Monteverdi, and Mozart are widely regarded for their clarity, precision, and expressive depth. Corboz also served as a professor at the Geneva Conservatory and conducted orchestras across Europe, leaving a lasting influence on choral performance practice.
