Zé Ramalho is a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose work fuses rock, MPB, and traditional Northeastern styles such as forró and sertanejo. Emerging in the 1970s, he became known for poetic, socially conscious lyrics and a distinctive, raspy vocal delivery that helped define a generation of Brazilian music.
