Bio

Han-Na Chang is a South Korean conductor and cellist born in Suwon in 1982. She first gained international attention as a teenage cello prodigy, winning first prize at the Rostropovich International Cello Competition in 1994 and subsequently recording for EMI Classics. After an acclaimed solo career, Chang transitioned to conducting in the mid-2010s, making her professional debut with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in 2016. She has since led major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Orchestre National de France, establishing herself as one of the leading conductors of her generation.
