Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1999. Originally known as Burn the Priest, the group changed its name in 2000 and quickly became a leading force in the groove metal and metalcore scenes. Their aggressive riffs, precise drumming, and politically charged lyrics have earned them a reputation as one of the most influential modern metal acts. Over the course of their career, Lamb of God has released multiple acclaimed studio albums and toured extensively worldwide.
