The Munich Radio Orchestra (Münchner Rundfunkorchester) is a German symphony orchestra founded in 1952 and based in Munich, Bavaria. It is the resident orchestra of BR-Klassik, the classical-music division of Bavarian Broadcasting, and performs a wide repertoire that ranges from the Baroque to contemporary works, with a particular emphasis on opera and orchestral music.
