Bio
Stanley Myers (1930–1993) was a British composer and conductor best known for his film scores. Born in Birmingham, he studied at the Royal College of Music and began his career writing incidental music for theatre and television before moving into cinema. His most celebrated work is the guitar piece "Cavatina," which became widely known after its use in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter. Myers composed scores for numerous British and international films, collaborating with directors such as Nic Roeg and Michael Winner, and his music often blended classical techniques with contemporary styles.
