Bio
Alis Huws is a Welsh harpist born in Powys, United Kingdom, on 2 April 1995. She was appointed Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales in 2019, a role that continues to the present day. Huws studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and later at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and she regularly appears at major UK venues and festivals. In addition to her royal duties, Huws maintains an active recital career and has released recordings on independent labels. Her repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary works, with a particular focus on Welsh composers and traditional music arranged for the harp.
