Bio
Preservation Hall Jazz Band is a New Orleans ensemble founded in 1961 to preserve and perform traditional jazz in its historic birthplace. Based at Preservation Hall in the French Quarter, the group has maintained a rotating lineup of veteran and younger musicians dedicated to the city's brass-band and early-jazz heritage. Their repertoire spans ragtime, swing, and traditional New Orleans jazz, and they have toured extensively while continuing weekly performances at the hall.
