Volker Altmann

Bio

Volker Altmann is a German classical horn player. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and has performed extensively with leading German orchestras including the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Altmann is a member of the Berlin Philharmonic’s extended roster and has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in European festivals. His repertoire spans the standard horn literature from Mozart and Strauss to contemporary works, and he has recorded for several German classical labels.
