Erik Truffaz is a Swiss-born French trumpeter and composer known for blending jazz with electronic, hip-hop, and rock influences. Born in 1960 near Geneva, he studied at the Geneva Conservatory before moving to Paris, where he developed his distinctive sound that merges acoustic jazz with contemporary production techniques. Truffaz first gained international attention in the late 1990s with albums like "The Dawn" and "Bending New Corners," which showcased his ability to fuse jazz improvisation with drum'n'bass and hip-hop rhythms.
