Bio
Yaki Kadafi was an American rapper best known as a founding member of the hip-hop group the Outlawz. Born Yafeu Akiyele Fula on October 9, 1977, in Montclair, New Jersey, he was a close friend and collaborator of Tupac Shakur, with whom he recorded numerous tracks before Shakur's death in 1996. Kadafi himself was fatally shot on November 10, 1996, at the age of 19, an event that remains unsolved. His posthumous releases and contributions to the Outlawz catalog have kept his work in circulation among fans of 1990s West Coast rap.
