Louis Cole is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer known for his work in the indie-jazz and funk scenes. Born in Los Angeles in 1986, he is recognized for his virtuosic drumming, layered vocal arrangements, and genre-blending compositions that fuse jazz harmony with electronic and funk grooves. Cole first gained wider attention as one half of the duo KNOWER alongside keyboardist Genevieve Artadi. His solo releases, including the albums "Time" and "Quality Over Opinion," showcase his skills as a one-man-band, often recording every instrument and vocal part himself. His music is noted for its technical complexity, humorous lyrics, and high-energy live performances.
