Bio
The Internet is an American alternative R&B and neo soul collective formed in Los Angeles in 2011. The group emerged from the Odd Future collective and is led by vocalist Syd and producer Matt Martians, with additional members including keyboardist Jameel Bruner, bassist Patrick Paige II, and drummer Christopher Smith. The band gained recognition for their genre-blending sound that fuses elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, and soul. Their debut album Purple Naked Ladies was released in 2011, followed by Feel Good in 2013 and the critically acclaimed Ego Death in 2015, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
