Bio
Tom Finucane (1955–2002) was a British lutenist known for his performances of Baroque and Renaissance music. He specialized in historical performance practice, playing the lute, theorbo, and related instruments in both solo and ensemble settings. Finucane appeared on numerous recordings of early music, collaborating with leading period-instrument ensembles and contributing to the revival of lute repertoire from the 16th and 17th centuries. His work helped bring authentic interpretations of composers such as John Dowland and Johann Sebastian Bach to modern audiences.
