Bio
Jeremy Summerly (born 28 February 1961) is a British conductor specialising in early music, Renaissance polyphony and Gregorian chant. He founded the Oxford Camerata in 1984 and has since directed numerous choirs and ensembles in historically informed performances of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque repertoire. Summerly is also active as a broadcaster and academic, holding posts at the Royal Academy of Music and the University of London, where he has championed both scholarly research and accessible recordings of Catholic liturgical music.
