Bio
Sex Pistols were a British punk rock band formed in London in 1975. The group, consisting of vocalist Johnny Rotten, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock (later replaced by Sid Vicious), became central figures in the UK punk movement. Their short but explosive career, marked by provocative lyrics and confrontational performances, helped define the punk aesthetic and ethos. The band released their only studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, in 1977. Despite internal conflicts and the death of Sid Vicious in 1979, their influence on rock music and youth culture remains significant. The Sex Pistols disbanded in 1978.
