Bio
Milan Munclinger (3 July 1923 – 1986) was a Czech flautist, composer and musicologist whose career bridged performance and scholarship. Born in Košice, he became a leading interpreter of Baroque repertoire, especially concertos for flute, and was noted for historically informed approaches that influenced Czech early-music practice. Beyond the concert stage, Munclinger contributed to musicological research and left a modest but respected body of compositions. His recordings and editions remain reference points for subsequent generations of Czech wind players and Baroque specialists.
