Bien-Aimé Baraza, known professionally as Bien, is a Kenyan singer, songwriter and performer from Nairobi. He first rose to prominence as a founding member of the afro-pop trio Sauti Sol, whose multi-platinum albums and global tours helped popularize contemporary Kenyan music across Africa and beyond. As a solo artist he blends afrobeats, afropop, afro-soul and bongo flava, often incorporating Swahili lyrics and Congolese rumba influences. His work is noted for smooth vocal melodies, socially conscious themes and collaborations that span East, West and Central Africa.
