Bio
Le Concert d'Astrée is a French early-music ensemble founded in January 2000 by harpsichordist and conductor Emmanuelle Haïm. Based in France, the group specializes in Baroque repertoire and historically informed performance practice, often collaborating with leading soloists of the period-instrument movement. The ensemble performs both instrumental and operatic works, appearing at major festivals and concert halls across Europe and North America. Its recordings, released primarily on the Virgin Classics and Erato labels, have received critical acclaim for their vitality and scholarly rigor.
