Bio
Gautier Capuçon is a French cellist born in 1981 in Chambéry. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and quickly established himself as one of the leading cellists of his generation. Capuçon has performed with major orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, and London Symphony Orchestra. He records for Erato and Warner Classics and collaborates regularly with his brother, violinist Renaud Capuçon. His repertoire spans the standard cello canon and contemporary works.
