Bio
Dori Caymmi is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, and composer born in Rio de Janeiro in 1943. The son of legendary songwriter Dorival Caymmi, he grew up immersed in Brazil’s rich musical traditions and became a key figure in the bossa nova and MPB scenes. Over a career spanning more than five decades, Caymmi has released numerous solo albums and collaborated with leading Brazilian and international artists. His work blends sophisticated harmonies with the rhythmic essence of Brazilian jazz, earning him respect both at home and abroad.
