Bio
Peter Maag (1919–2001) was a Swiss conductor renowned for his work in the classical repertoire. Born in St. Gallen, he studied music in Zürich and Geneva before establishing himself as a leading interpreter of orchestral and operatic works. Maag held principal positions with several European orchestras and was particularly admired for his refined performances of Mozart, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn.
