Bio

Robin Gibb (1949–2012) was a British singer, songwriter and record producer best known as a founding member of the Bee Gees. Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, he rose to fame in the 1960s alongside his brothers Barry and Maurice, co-writing and performing many of the group’s early hits such as “Massachusetts” and “I Started a Joke.” Beyond the Bee Gees, Gibb maintained a solo career that included the 1970 UK number-one single “Saved by the Bell” and later dance-oriented releases. His distinctive vibrato and melodic style remained central to the Bee Gees’ sound through the disco era and beyond, contributing to global hits like “Stayin’ Alive” and “How Deep Is Your Love.”
