Anuel AA

Anuel AA is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer from Carolina who rose to prominence in the mid-2010s as a leading figure in Latin trap. He began releasing music in 2010 and gained mainstream attention with the 2016 mixtape Real Hasta la Muerte before serving a prison sentence. Upon release in 2018 he achieved global commercial success with the album of the same name and collaborations with artists such as Karol G, Daddy Yankee, and J Balvin. His sound blends reggaeton, trap latino, and urbano latino with heavy auto-tune and street narratives. Anuel has released multiple chart-topping singles and albums on major Latin labels and remains one of the most-streamed Latin urban artists worldwide.
