Alex Gargolas

Alex Gargolas is a Puerto Rican reggaeton producer and DJ from San Juan. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as one of the key architects of the reggaeton sound, producing hits for artists including Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderón, and Don Omar. His 2002 compilation Gargolas 4.1 helped popularize the genre beyond Puerto Rico. Gargolas is known for his dark, heavy beats and has continued releasing music and compilations into the 2010s and 2020s.
