Dido is an English singer-songwriter from London who rose to prominence in the late 1990s. She first gained attention as a featured vocalist on Eminem’s “Stan” before releasing her debut album No Angel in 1999, which sold over 21 million copies worldwide. Her introspective, melodic pop sound blends trip-hop, folk, and electronic elements, often centered around piano and acoustic textures. Follow-up Life for Rent (2003) produced the global hit “White Flag.” She has collaborated with artists including Brian Eno, Kendrick Lamar, and her brother Rollo Armstrong of Faithless. Dido has released five studio albums and maintains a low public profile between projects.
